Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Digestive Endoscopy Society of Taiwan (DEST), I'm honored to have this opportunity to welcome all of you to attend the 6th Annual Congress of DEST (DEST 2020) held at the NTUH International Conventional Center, Taipei, Taiwan on August 1st and 2nd, 2020.
The highlights of this meeting will include:
1.In memory of Professor The-Hong Wang, tｚhe first president of DEST and our respected tutor.
2.Gateway to Excellence in Far-Advanced Endoscopy: Education, Research and Practice.
3.Live demonstration and young doctors’ video presentation.
As what has been done in the previous annual meetings, the programs of DEST 2020 will focus on the update and hot topics of different endoscopic fields:
- Diagnosis and management of esophageal cancer
- Endoscopic management of motility disorders
- Obscure small bowel bleeding
- Application of AI for upper gastrointestinal tract
- Interventional EUS
- Basic and advanced ERCP
- Update on endoscopic bariatric surgery and fecal microbiota transplantation
- Endoscopy on inflammatory bowel disease
- Diagnosis and management of T1 colorectal cancer
A live demonstration will be held on August 1st at New Taipei Municipal TuCheng Hospital and NTU Cancer Center performed by endoscopic experts from Taiwan and abroad, includes endoscopic submucosal dissection, per-oral endoscopic myotomy, high-resolution manometry, interventional endoscopic ultrasonography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
DEST 2020 will invite experts from the USA, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan to join in delivering update presentations and comprehensive discussions.
I am sure all the participants will learn the cutting-edge knowledge and techniques in the DEST 2020.
